Keeping it Simple, Traditional, Organic
We only use the finest mushroom growing substrates and raw ingredients. The Organic rye grain and brown rice flour we use is locally sourced as is all of our horse manure. Horse Manure is supplied by two boarding stables just outside of Goodwood-Chichester. Stable bedding is ideal for composting as the horses help break down the waxy layer on the straw. This in turn helps with the structure of the mushroom growing compost and nutrient availability. Pasteurized straw products are from the previous harvest and again from our friends over at the stables.

What Goes into Mushbuddies gourmet mushroom magic Mix
Apart from the obvious. We add Scottish volcanic rock, along with gypsum, molasses and several other ingredients to maximize the yield, the flavor and the intensity of your favorite mushroom. Our horse manure mushroom substrate is made by using the long composting method. This produces a mix that is light, airy and packed with natural goodness.
The product is ammonia free and fully organic.
